Kate BKate has been a singer for as long as she can remember and first picked up the guitar when she was 14. She has done everything musical short of playing in an orchestra… from folk to blues and cafes to weddings and community choirs.

Her journey has more recently carried her back to the world of chanting, mantra and kirtan, revisiting an old passion in the joy of creating uplifting sound with others. Since this reconnection, the Ukelele and Celtic Harp have found their way into the musical landscape, supporting the original songs which seem to flow effortlessly now, fuelled by her true inspiration…. That is: sharing her love of voice and song to create a musical sanctuary, to connect us with others, provide refuge from the busyness of our everyday lives, quieten the mind and leave us with a deep sense of peace and joy.

Kate is also a Zenthai Shiatsu Therapist & Facilitator and Yoga Chi Gung teacher with a background in martial arts and dance. With two decades experience teaching, she loves sharing these healing arts with the community through treatments, classes and workshops, with the vision that through music and healing touch we can all experience greater wellbeing in our lives.

Morning Yoga with Kate

Morning Yogawith Kate B

Kate Yoga classes are a rich tapestry of her 20yrs of experience as a teacher. Combining many styles including Yoga Chi Gung, restorative & gentle vinyasa styles, with 5 Element Theory.

These classes are an opportunity to unwind and recharge learning simple movements, postures and breathing techniques in a relaxed and non-competitive environment.

Accessible to all bodies and all levels of experience, anyone can join in, from the complete beginner to the experienced yogi. Some classes include gentle partner Zenthai Shiatsu bodywork – for tight shoulders… nothing beats it!

 

Pravas

Prem PravasPravas brings a long experience of life as son, brother, partner, father, relationship with the Divine Feminine mixed with all the joys and pain of life and death of parents and a child.

He also brings his skills as a meditator and Common Ground facilitator under the auspices of Mens Wellbeing.

He has attended The Joining since inception and Men’s Gatherings for nearly 20 years.

According to participant feedback, his workshop around life and death has created an opportunity for changing lives.

 

Morning Meditations

Prem Pravaswith Pravas

Each morning, Pravas will be leading an Early Morning Meditation.

The theme of each morning’s meditation is in alignment with the overall energetics of that day’s workshop program and so aside from being a yummy way to start the day, helps sink you and everyone else deeper into the transformative process that is The Joining.

FIRST MORNING – DYNAMIC MEDITATION
This is a powerful physically energetic process using chaotic breath, emotional release using voice and movement, mixed with silence and stillness with ecstatic dance to integrate.
This process allows you to safely release emotions that you have brought to The Joining so you commence the first day clear, cleansed and in a space allowing the various workshop gifts over the next few days.

SECOND MORNING – NO DIMENSIONS – SUFI DANCING AND WHIRLING
This is a simple powerful centering process using gentle repetitive movement followed by gentle whirling/ circling and stillness. The center reached can only be experienced – not described.

THIRD MORNING – NADABRAHAMA
A still sitting mediation listening to soft Tibetan bells followed by silence leads to inner bliss.

This safe, gentle experiential workshop will use movement, stillness, partner work and creativity to explore and transform your self-imposed limitations around life and what we call death.

Imagine a day where there is no unfinished business, no guilt and you embrace and celebrate each dawn each day.

There is no religion, dogma or doctrine in this workshop.

A challenging and powerful acknowledgement of your perceived failings and regrets will be gently confronted, acknowledged and released. You will leave the workshop armed with new awareness, call it an action list, if you choose to transform into living a larger joyous life.

This work is gentle yet confronting.
